Female Infertility
Our physicians have been at the forefront of the reproductive medicine arena since inception and our physicians have been breaking new ground from a medical standpoint as well as a patient advocacy perspective. An integral part of the philosophy, new developments in reproductive medicine continue to drive our outstanding success rates.
Female Infertility Tests • Blood Tests: On the third day of a spontaneous or progesterone withdrawal menstruation, blood is drawn to measure Estradiol (E2), FSH, LH and Inhibin-B. Blood should also be drawn (any time) for the measurement of Prolactin, TSH and antisperm antibodies (ASA).
• Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH): An abnormal pattern of estrogen production during the first half of the menstrual cycle, which could result in infertility or recurrent miscarriages.
• Lutenizing Hormone (LH): A gonadotropin released by the pituitary gland to stimulate the ovaries and testicles.
• LH serial blood tests: When this test is performed several times daily around the presumed time of ovulation, the detection of a rapidly rising blood LH (luteinizing hormone) concentration can accurately determine the time of probable ovulation.

Through these tests we get an exact idea of where the problem is and can therefore diagnose problems carefully.

Male Infertility
In the IVF lab, we initially assess a man's fertility by measuring the numbers of sperm produced, assessing their ability to move effectively as well as judging their shape and size. Unlike in society, we like uniformity in sperm quality rather than individuality. Here's where being average is the goal.

Sperm / Semen Analysis
A semen analysis for accurate measurement of sperm motility and count. Sperm morphology is assessed employing "Kruger criteria." Semen should also be cultured for Ureaplasma, Urealyticum, Chlamydia, and Gonococcus and for aerobic/anaerobic pathogens.

Male Fertility Physical Exam
A proper physical exam is an important part of a complete male fertility evaluation. In most cases, the physical exam is performed by an Urologist. The physician may examine the penis, scrotum, testicles, and prostate for medical problems such as a varicose vein in the scrotum, irregular testicle size, or enlarged/dysfunctional prostate.

Hormone Exam
In a relatively small number of cases of male infertility, the failure to produce an adequate quality of sperm relates to reduced secretion by the pituitary gland of those hormones necessary to stimulate sperm production.

Fertility Treatment
If you are one of those who have similar apprehensions about motherhood then, it's time to embrace a new way of thinking? Marriage is that unique institution in India that can turn any vivacious, accomplished successful female into a second-class citizen. Avoiding questions about your wedding date, questions about when the "new addition" is happening on social media can become the norm after a few years of marriage. If you have been married for a while and having regular intercourse without contraceptives and still not able to conceive, chances are you might be diagnosed with PCOD, like every second girl in metros is. But that may not be enough.

In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) A procedure introduced in the year 1978 in which a woman's ovaries are stimulated with fertility drugs to produce multiple mature eggs, which are then removed from her body and are fertilized in the laboratory with her partner's (or donor) sperm. The resulting embryos are cultured for three to five days, at which point, and the best 1 or 2 embryos are then transferred back into her uterus. IVF PROCEDURES

IVF Failure Treatment
Blood tests are conducted to find out if one has a BRCA1 or BRCA2 gene, which can cause severe complications. There are other kinds of tests which check for genes that play a part in detecting some causes for IVF failure.
Pelvic exam: In this procedure, the doctor inserts one or two gloved fingers into the vagina and rectum at the same time and presses on the lower abdomen with the other hand. If there is a mass on either side of the uterus, it may be a sign of ovarian cancer. CA-125 blood test: This test records the level in your body of CA-125, a protein that is made by ovarian cancer cells. CA-125 is known as a tumor marker because its levels usually are higher in women with ovarian cancer.
Biopsy: Removal of tissues by a doctor to check for cancer cells under a microscope is called as biopsy. Tissues can be examined by Fine needle aspiration (FNA) Imaging tests, which may include:
• CT or CAT (computed axial tomography) scans
• MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) scans
• PET (positron emission tomography) scans

IUI is usually selected as a treatment for conditions including:
• Unexplained infertility
• Low sperm count
• Decreased sperm motility
• Donor sperm
• Hostile cervical condition such as cervical mucus that is too thick or cervical scar tissue from past procedures
• Ejaculation dysfunction and timing issues
Transvaginal ultrasound: This procedure involves the use of a wand-shaped scanner in the vagina which has a small ultrasound device on the other end.
